McCourt Real Estate Services in Midland is not the beginning of the story for me. You need to know how I arrived her for you.

I bought my first investment property when I was 22 years old. It was a small two bedroom home in a small West Texas town, but it cash flowed $80 per month back in 1979. Years later I was able to sell it for more than I paid for it. Eighty dollars per month doesn't sound like much money, but in 1980 I left my job in the oilfield with Gulf Oil and went back to get my degree. That $80 per month was an important part of my safety net. I had saved my money, and had Gulf stock to fall back on, but I was still a really poor (financially speaking) college student. Sometimes that $80 was grocery money! I put myself through college managing a woman's health spa.

I have always enjoyed people, and that was a wonderful period in my life. The folks at the spa, both the owners and the members, were so good to me. They were warm and kind people who remain friends to this day.Since then I've been actively involved in acquiring and managing investment property. It's a 24/7 kind of business, and it's not for everyone, but I enjoy it very much.

I feel a tremedous sense of satisfaction when a property makes money for the owner.  I am gratified when a owner calls or writes to tell me "Thank you so much!"  It means a great deal to be of service and to know that I am saving you money - but not just money - I am saving you from worry as well. But enough about me. . . . .
